OUR HISTORY

Extro Ristopark was founded in April 2018, from an idea of Massimiliano Lembo and Marzia Varini, originally from Turin province. Both have lived in Shanghai for 14 years, enjoying the life, customs and culinary art of a unique country. "Max" worked as Executive Chef at "Da Marco" restaurant, a true reference point for Shanghai international community. Thanks to Max's ideas, the restaurant has been awarded for 7 years in a row as the best Italian restaurant in the metropolis and in 2018 it was nominated Top Italian Restaurant in Gambero Rosso ranking. In 2017, Chef Max was awarded by Piedmont Region for being a recognized promoter of Piedmontese cuisine in the world. Awards arrived also from for Shanghai City Weekend magazine, namely for the Best Italian restaurant in Shanghai. Nevertheless, the strong appeal of Italy has attracted Max and Marzia to the borders of Langhe area in Piedmont, in a 19th century noble farmhouse completely renovated and immersed in a 6000 square meter park located in the historical center of Lesegno, where taste, emotion and innovation meet the tradition of Piedmont great province of Cuneo.
